Be a cool way to spin the story based on who you play as. I think it'd be really cool if the campaign presented her story this way through events, with the Trojan factions claiming she fled from Greece and the Greek factions claiming that she was kidnapped and must be rescued. Even the Ancient Greeks argued about how it happened, though the "rape & kidnap" story seemed to be the most popular, as it made the Trojans clearly the bad guys and absolved Helen of guilt (which became important as a cult to Helen became popular). Touching on the Helen thing, there are tons of versions of how Paris stole her away - from her being raped and kidnapped to her falling in love to her fleeing to a place where queens had more power than in Mycenaean Sparta. sei nel posto giusto Hi Welcome to the STW gaming communitys group. Though it appears that they highly valued archery, and Paris is one of the only characters we have evidence actually existed, as he was King of Troy at one point. Presentazione Introduction Ave Benvenuto nella gaming collective STW. The Trojan/Hittite version of the story is now lost to us, so we have no idea what the Trojans thought of Paris. He just sucks in his hand-to-hand duel with Menelaus, which happens to be his most prominently featured fight. It actually takes a Greek archer, Philoctetes, to kill Paris, since none of the other Greeks can touch him. Troy and 3K are interesting, and have much needed improvements in campaign mechanics, (although the battles and AI for troy are awful), but I get taken out of a lot of the fun of the experience by the hard RPG and Fantasy elements. ![]() However, this quietly ignores that Paris takes command of the city after Hector's death and kills lots of Greek heroes - including Achilles. ![]() I think this all snowballs into Paris being portrayed as a cowardly wimp, as you put it, and most later depictions have just continued to adopt these stereotypes about him. All of our stories about the war come from the Greeks, who viewed archers as cowards, easterners as effeminate, and specifically hated on Paris because he stole Helen away and kicked off the tragedy of the war.
